RIVER RUN TRAIL

Trail: River Run Trail
Region: Castle Creek Valley
Difficulty: easy
Description: A beautiful easy 1.5 mile trail that begins at the Ghost Town of Ashcroft and meanders through the forest along the Castle Creek. The trail ends at the Pine Creek Cookhouse.
Directions: Take Highway 82 East towards Aspen. Just before entering Aspen you will reach the roundabout. At the roundabout exit onto Castle Creek Road. You will pass the hospital almost immediately on your right. Follow Castle Creek Road for 11 miles to the road's end. The Ghost Town of Ashcroft will be on the left. Driving Time Approximately 1 hour.
